Assessment of the Existing Fuse Board
We began by inspecting the old consumer unit, which lacked modern RCD and surge protection. This meant the property was vulnerable to electrical faults, nuisance tripping and potential safety risks.
After discussing options with the client, we recommended replacing the old fuse board with a modern RCBO-controlled consumer unit to provide individual circuit protection.
